Our Story

From a Javanese Kitchen to Adelaide Events

Ninin's story starts in a simple way — watching. Growing up in Java, she learned to cook by standing beside her mum and sisters. No training. Just talent, instinct, and a kitchen full of family.

So we built it together.

We started small in 2007 — Ninin catering from home for friends, mostly for the love of it. When the world shut down a few years later, we built a food trailer in the backyard and went all in. No business plan. Just a good product, hard-working hands, and a refusal to do anything halfway.

The first event was a hard lesson. Every one since has been a step forward. Thirteen-plus years of catering. Three-plus years of full-time trailer service. A name that travels by word of mouth across Adelaide.

What started as a small family operation is now Adelaide's go-to authentic Indonesian catering team.
